Yesterdays News

OK, coming from a longtime newspaper journalist, this post is not what it seems at first. In newsrooms, many a reporter has one time thought that a specific edition might be better suited to line a bird cage or use for puppy training…. However, this is really about a great new product called Yesterdays News, which is a kitty litter made from recycled newsprint.

Recycling is near and dear to my heart, so this product is intresting on that point alone.

In the mail the other day, I received a coupon for a free bag (13.2 oz.) – a $6 value! I, of course, got some on my next shopping trip. I put it in one of my two kitty litter boxes (4 cats). Several of the cats seem skeptical, but I’ve seen Tom and Riley both in there, so they got used to the different texture (pellet vs. sandy). The product seems to be holding odor well (as it advertises), it’s only been a few days…we’ll see! So far, so good!
